Gifts have been arriving daily here at the shelter. Toys, food, treats, litter, Christmas has certainly come early. Thank you to all our supporters who provide all the essentials we need to stay open every day. So let me tell you a bit about myself, Rudy here, thought it was about time you heard from a rabbit. I have been at the shelter since the end of August, so quite a while now. I am on the larger size, but don’t let that put you off. But, if a smaller bunny is more your cup of tea then check out Penelope and Gonzo, two little cuties who will hop right into your heart. Spazz is still keeping us updated from the hallway, and wanted to let you know gerbils make a great first pet!!

We had a couple of new piggies arrive this week, Slick and Slack are now settled in and enjoying their new surroundings. The best part of being here at the shelter is all the new friends you make, many of us are from situations where we are the only rabbit or piggie in the home, and let’s face it we are social creatures. We love our human companions, but nothing beats hanging out with a bunny or piggie friend. Our youngest community members are still searching for furever homes. We have several mom and daughter pairs, Abby and Princess are featured in this week’s video, and who couldn’t fall in love with Abby, what a hairdo! Now if you are looking for a quieter little friend, then Baby is for you. Baby is Abby’s dad, and you can see where that hair comes from.  

The big topic of conversation this week was about our publicist. Trish became our number one fan over the fall, when she took several of us out to many different events. We burrowed out way into her heart one field trip at a time. She will be greatly missed by all of us here and we wish her lots of luck in her new job.
