  • Do you have a Reactive dog on leash? Does your dog bark, lunge, whine, or stress when seeing other dogs, strangers, or both? This class is for you! Reactive provides owners with critical handling skills so they they are well equipped to deal with challenges that may arise in their communities, and provides dogs with the life skills that they need to exist comfortably and thoughtfully in environments that previous provoked anxiety and heightened arousal levels and reactivity.

  • This class has no prerequisites. Scent work for dogs is a sport that requires your dog to hone in their sense of smell. We start by searching for food then in higher levels moving onto target odors that consist of essential oils. This is the same way detection dogs across the world are taught to alert to bombs, drugs, agricultural items, and medical issues. The goal of this five week course is for dogs to love the game of searching and to build the foundation to be able to find a hidden target odor. Dogs work one at a time, so scent work class is appropriate for dogs who can be grumpy with other dogs. By giving them an outlet to use their brain through something that comes so naturally to them–sniffing–it stimulates them mentally and builds a bond as you work together. One of the best parts about scent work for dogs is that ANY dog can participate.Item description

  • Agility is a great confidence builder for your dog. It is a great tool to have for focus and control as well. If you’ve tried it before and want to try again or never tried it at all, AGILITY FOR FUN is for you. Your dog will gain a lot from it, and you will see great improvement from week to week. There will be several instructors to guide and assist you and your dog. Again this is for experienced or completely unexperienced agility pups and handlers. Come have fun with agility!

  • In this 5-week class we work on polishing all the elements required to pass the test for an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate. Some of the elements covered are stays with distraction, recalls with distraction, loose leash walking, accepting a friendly stranger, walking past other dogs, and sitting nicely for petting. Testing will be done during the final class.

  • Stranger Danger is a 2-week specialty group class designed especially for dogs who show signs of reactivity towards human strangers. Class size is limited to four dogs. This class will help you identify your dog’s signals to reactivity as well as learn exercises to reduce your dog’s responses to new people. The goal is to teach you the steps to desensitize your dog to unfamiliar humans.
